Concrete coupled wall is one of the outstanding seismic resisting systems for mid to high-rise building structures located in a high region. In this system, link beam provides coupling action between and adjacent panel, which significantly increases system's lateral stiffness eventually reduce footprint system. However, once damaged due severe earthquake, it difficult, costly, time-consuming be repaired, results business disruption increased life cycle cost. To deal with these issues, Resilient Slip Friction Joint (RSFJ) has recently been introduced employed New Zealand construction industry.
